These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Secure File Eraser application ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

• "The App" refers to the Secure File Eraser application, including both the iOS and Android versions.
• "User" refers to any individual or entity that downloads and uses the App.
• "The Service" refers to the secure file erasure functionality and related features provided through the App.

2. Overview of the App

The App provides secure file deletion functionality compliant with the U.S. Department of Defense standard DoD 5220.22-M, using a 3-pass overwrite method. Specifically, the App performs the following:

1. Pass 1: Overwrites file data with zeros (0x00)
2. Pass 2: Overwrites file data with ones (0xFF)
3. Pass 3: Overwrites file data with cryptographically secure random data
4. Deletes the file after the overwrite process is complete

3. Terms of Use

Users agree to comply with the following conditions when using the App:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes.
• Only erase files for which you have proper authorization.
• Do not erase files belonging to others without their consent.
• Do not use the App for destruction of evidence or any other illegal purposes.
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.

4. Irreversibility of File Erasure

Important: Files erased by the App cannot be recovered. Users must verify that the target file is safe to erase before performing the erasure operation. We are not responsible for any damages resulting from accidental file erasure.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

• The App will operate without interruption or error.
• The App will be compatible with all devices or operating systems.
• Data will be rendered completely unrecoverable on all types of storage media.
• We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App.

6. Intellectual Property

All copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights related to the App belong to us. Users may only use the App within the scope defined by these Terms.

7. Suspension of Use

We may suspend your use of the App without prior notice if you violate or are suspected of violating these Terms.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms as necessary. Updated Terms become effective upon posting on this page. We will notify you of significant changes through in-app notifications or other appropriate means.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
